The role of an educational therapist has become increasingly critical in the current competitive and dynamic landscape of educational settings. Obtaining a qualification and certification as an educational therapist signifies a commitment to excellence, professionalism, and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of individuals with learning disorders, disabilities and challenges.
The Association is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and expertise in the field of educational therapy. The Membership Committee carefully reviews applications and verifies that applicants applying to be a professional educational therapist of the Association must meet all necessary qualifications and criteria. Currently, the Committee recognises applicants who have obtained their educational therapist qualifications from other esteemed organisations including:
Completed Credentialed, Registered, or Board-certified Special Needs Educational Therapists (SNET) programme of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT).
The programme follows a structured three-tier certification pathway that aligns with the Association’s membership recognition.
