The Association of
Educational Therapists (Singapore)

serves a vital purpose in the field of educational therapy by providing a professional framework that supports educational therapists and the individuals they serve. The AETS is dedicated to enhancing the quality of educational therapy through leadership, advocacy, and the establishment of standards for practice.

Educational therapy is a wide range and specialised intervention designed to support individuals facing learning difficulties, disabilities and challenges. Unlike traditional tutoring, which often focuses solely on academic content, educational therapy addresses the underlying issues and skills deficit that hinder learning. The deficits include cognitive functional, emotional, sensorial and behavioural factors. Inter Educational therapy  is holistic and highly individualised to meet the unique needs of each learner.

Qualification

An individual holding qualification or certification either from the International Assciation of Counselors and Therapists (IACT) or the Assocation of Educational Therapists (AET) as an educational therapist, qualifies as a professional educational therapist of the Association.
